Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Flower Lotus 07 Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is a structured, 8-week educational series that teaches mindfulness “meditation”/abcs-of-yoga/meditation/: and gentle yoga as a successful and highly researched means to guide people to take better care of themselves and to live healthier and more adaptive lives.

People who have participated in MBSR at PCYH have found help with a range of physiological and stress-related conditions including chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), migraine headaches, high blood pressure, cancer, sleep disorders, anxiety and depression. MBSR provides training in meditation, mindful-yoga, and relaxation to mobilize your mind/body resources in new ways that can lessen stress, pain, and illness while promoting growth and healing. PCYH offers Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction courses throughout the year.
