A deeply relaxing practice that incorporates restorative yoga postures and Yoga Nidra – conscious deep relaxation. Classes begin with gentle movement, preparing the body to settle into a place of stillness. Restorative postures are held for longer periods of time with the support of props (bolsters, blankets, blocks), allowing the muscles to relax deeply with no effort. This class is designed to release tension, soothe the nervous system, and leave you feeling well rested and renewed. Highly effective for relieving chronic stress, anxiety, insomnia, and generalized fatigue.
Open to all levels
Come practice in the light of the setting sun to end your busy week. Complete with candle light, calming music, and essential oils, this mixed level Hatha class will leave you feeling relaxed and ready to enjoy your weekend.
You will invite your whole body and mind into each pose. This type of practice leads to increased body awareness and a more centered presence, as well as a deeper understanding of your body structure while in each asana.
Open to all levels of experience
In this mixed level class in which both beginners and experienced are welcome, the focus is not merely on the asanas but to learn and practice the other important aspects of yoga as expounded by sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras (the eight limbs of yoga: yamas and the niyamas, pranayama, the bandhas, mudras, mantras, yoga nidra and meditation) and how all these when practiced regularly can open energy channels, remove toxins, improve strength and flexibility, alleviate stress and calm the mind and ensure one’s well- being, self-transformation and peace. Consistent with Patanjali’s aphorism, Sthira sukham asanam emphasizing stability, stillness and comfort, the asana practice will be so designed that there will be no strong exertion but only exhilaration. The asana segment will concentrate on the natural flow that occurs within related postural groups, and will allow sufficient time to explore internal alignment and proper sensation. The Sanskrit word Sampoorna means completeness. This class will help you connect to your innate wellspring of bliss
A physically challenging and flowing yoga class which integrates physical poses, breath work, meditation, music and other traditional elements of yoga designed to be fun and accessible for all experience levels. Variations and/or options will be offered so that each student can deepen their practice in a spacious environment. Classes are taught by teachers trained in varied yoga traditions, each with their unique ‘teaching voice’. Below are some classes with special emphasis:
The Monday 5:45 class is an integrated practice based in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. Postures, breathing, sound, and a sense of humor are incorporated in a challenging, yet grounding practice. Each practitioner is encouraged to listen to the rhythm and melody of her/his own breath as the musical soundtrack to this practice. ©
In the Tuesday 9:30 am class, move through various poses in an energetic Ashtanga yoga inspired vinyasa practice focusing on building strength and flexibility. Then wind down and restore your body through gentle stretches and passive poses using blankets, pillows, bolsters and chairs as support. This is followed by a guided savasan. Leave class feeling energized, awakened and restored. (M-C)
Wednesday 5:45 and 7:30 pm class is a deepening Forrest Yoga inspired flow practiced in an 85 degree room known for its intensity and longer holding of poses with focus on abdominal core work. (M)
Thursday 9:30 am Yoga for Core Strength and Flexibility will deepen your level of practice by placing emphasis on being in the present moment. This is not a vigorous, fast moving class; rather a peaceful but intense journey into gradually opening up the joints, along with the mind. Practice some deep breath work accompanied with mixed level asanas. Beginner and intermediate students welcome, as poses will be modified to meet the levels of each individual student. (M)
The Hot Flow classes Monday, 7:30 pm and Saturday, 11 am add the dimension of intentionally overheated rooms ranging from 80 – 95 degrees. (M -C)
Classes range from Gentle (G) to Moderate (M) to Challenging ©. The classes are open to all levels, however, some yoga experience is recommended for classes labeled M or C.

Yin yoga is a quiet practice suitable for students of all levels of experience. Practitioners are offered an opportunity to surrender, slow down and come back to balance. Many of the poses are seated, supine or prone and are held with muscles relaxed for several minutes. The Yin parts of our body are the parts that lie closest to our core, specifically the bones and connective tissue. Muscles prefer movement and repetition and are considered the Yang parts. Remaining muscularly passive for periods of time gently stretches dense connective tissue of the lower back, hips and spine, which may otherwise become stiff and less mobile as we age. There is a focus on the breath, being present in the moment, relieving tension and letting go. The Yin practice includes powerful mental and emotional benefits as its practitioner becomes quiet, still and mindful of the present.
We are all beginners! This class is suitable for both beginners and for those with some experience and will include basic breathing exercises (pranayama), foundational poses, sun salutations, and deep relaxation.
Since yoga is an extremely potent agent of transformation, and not simply a form of exercise, the emphasis in this class will be on poses combined with proper breathing, inner awareness and alignment, which will bring about deep changes in one’s energy level and release deep psychic blockages. You will be guided to use a non-aggressive approach and moderate pace and avoid injury. This is your chance to glean and discover the fruits of yoga: vigor and vitality, balance, peace, a sense of well-being, and joy.
