    Upcoming classes (71)

This class is based on the twenty-six sequenced postures, but may include additional components such as core work and/or a vinyasa sequence. Work deep into your muscles, tendons and ligaments – change your body from the inside out. Increases flexibility, improves circulation and reduces stress. Learn to combine the skills of concentration, patience, determination, and self-control. The class is designed for all levels. It is performed in a heated room because the heat warms muscles, prevents injuries, and cleanses the body by flushing out toxins from the body. Bring water, a towel, and a mat. Plan to sweat! Detoxifying, healing and energizing. Change your body!

We welcome yogis of all levels and ages, and offers modifications to make each pose accessible to most people. Please note, however, that the first class can be intense for anyone not accustomed to working out in 90-105 degrees Fahrenheit.

For sanitary reasons, we recommend bringing your own yoga mat and large absorbent towel. As a courtesy, we offer mats for rental for $2 per class. Mats, water bottles and towels are available for sale in our shop.

*Hot Yoga is not recommended as a student’s first yoga experience and/or those with a serious injury, illness, epilepsy, high blood pressure, heart condition, or pregnancy. *

MBSR - Graduate Class on Mindfulness Meditation: SIGN UP UNDER WORKSHOPS

    Upcoming classes (0)

A number of our mindfulness students have over time sought to reconnect with and deepen the lessons experienced during the program. Deborah and Robin will be hosting a meditation group open to all who have participated in our MBSR program (or any MBSR/MBCT program in other locations) and we invite you to attend.

The class will build on the work done in earlier sessions and will support our mutual effort toward greater clarity of purpose and ease of being. We will address obstacles which may arise as we internalize this practice. Each session will be 90-minutes and include a period of meditation, group discussion, and opportunity to ask questions. We hope in this way to enrich our lives in the present moment and thereby increase our experience of tranquility, joy, resilience, and present moment awareness. With life comes challenges, but we can “unpack” and meet these situations in ways which help us to reconnect with and deepen our wisdom and realize the choices we do have to ease our suffering and to live life in its fullness. As we build these tools in ourselves, we bring them also to those around us and in that way open new possibilities for our loved ones.

This class will be held on the following dates:
7/14 and 8/18 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, meeting twice.

Costs: $45 for both sessions, $30 for 1 session.
Space Limited – Please call 609-924-7294 or go online to register.

    The Complete Yoga (Sampoorna Yoga)

    Upcoming classes (46)

In this mixed level class in which both beginners and experienced are welcome, the focus is not merely on the asanas but to learn and practice the other important aspects of yoga as expounded by sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras (the eight limbs of yoga: yamas and the niyamas, pranayama, the bandhas, mudras, mantras, yoga nidra and meditation) and how all these when practiced regularly can open energy channels, remove toxins, improve strength and flexibility, alleviate stress and calm the mind and ensure one’s well- being, self-transformation and peace. Consistent with Patanjali’s aphorism, Sthira sukham asanam emphasizing stability, stillness and comfort, the asana practice will be so designed that there will be no strong exertion but only exhilaration. The asana segment will concentrate on the natural flow that occurs within related postural groups, and will allow sufficient time to explore internal alignment and proper sensation.

The Sanskrit word Sampoorna means completeness. This class will help you connect to your innate wellspring of bliss

    Upcoming classes (82)

Long, delicious holdings of passive poses to get to the connective tissue and deep into the joints for an amazing yoga experience.

Yin yoga is a quiet practice suitable for students of all levels of experience. Through the practice of long held postures targeting the connective tissue of the low back, hips and hamstrings, Yin Yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Many of the poses are seated, supine or prone and are held with muscles relaxed for several minutes. There is a focus on the breath, being present in the moment, relieving tension and letting go. The Yin practice includes powerful mental and emotional benefits as its practitioner becomes quiet, still and mindful of the present. Give yourself this opportunity to surrender, slow down and come back to balance. A perfect complement for vinyasa flow and other challenging practices.

We are all beginners! This class is suitable for both beginners and for those with some experience and will include basic breathing exercises (pranayama), foundational poses, sun salutations, and deep relaxation.

Since yoga is an extremely potent agent of transformation, and not simply a form of exercise, the emphasis in this class will be on poses combined with proper breathing, inner awareness and alignment, which will bring about deep changes in one’s energy level and release deep psychic blockages. You will be guided to use a non-aggressive approach and moderate pace and avoid injury. This is your chance to glean and discover the fruits of yoga: vigor and vitality, balance, peace, a sense of well-being, and joy.
