Hatha Yoga w/ a Yin Twist

Gentle Therapeutic Hatha Yoga invites you to relax, renew and rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit in a healing yoga class designed for all ages and all levels of fitness. Enjoy a combination of balance and harmony through slow and relaxed movements. Emphasis will be on self-awareness, breath and gentleness to the body. By focusing on Yin yoga and Hatha asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and other elements of traditional Hatha Yoga, this class will help you increase your flexibility and balance, improve your strength, and decrease your response to stress. Meditation, guided imagery, and relaxation exercises are incorporated to help you relax deeply. Incorporating elements of Soma Yoga, individual adaptations are encouraged and fully supported. This is not a vigorous, fast moving class; rather it will be a peaceful and gentle journey into a centered mind, body and spirit.
