Help nurture your childís development through imaginative play, song and
yoga. The class is designed to help your child relax, support good
health, well being, and learning while having fun with yoga poses
and games.

This class focuses on the asanas of the Primary Series of Astanga Yoga, as taught by Pattabhi Jois and his followers. Astanga Yoga, having developed through the Krishnamacharya lineage, is considered a branch of classical yoga. The original "power yoga", this flowing series of poses provides a challenging, complete, hot and therapeutic workout. Kim's teaching emphasizes anatomical alignment and joint safety, elegance, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy.
Kim welcomes yoga practitioners of all levels, and offers modifications to make each pose accessible to most people.

We are all beginners! Come to polish up or learn for the first time. In this class, asana alignment principles and yoga concepts will be taught. Basic pranayama, foundational poses, sun salutations, and deep relaxation will be explored in detail. Based on Soma Yoga principles of listening to and respecting what your body needs from moment to moment, you will be encouraged to develop compassion for your body and eliminate injuries in your practice.
