We have come to be danced…
Not the pretty pretty, pick me, pick me dance
But the claw our way back into the belly
Of the sacred, sensual animal dance
The unhinged, unplugged, cat is out of its box dance
The holding the precious moment in the palms
Of our hands and feet dance.
We have come to be danced…
… the wring the sadness from our skin dance…
… The rub the rhythm raw against our soul dance…
… The everyone can come to our heaven dance…
… To unravel, to play, to fly, to pray
    To root in skin sanctuary
We have come to be danced…

    —Jewel Mathieson

5Rhythms is a dynamic movement practice rooted in personal growth, transformational experiences, and community. 5Rhythms transcends dance—movement is the medicine, the meditation, and the metaphor. When we put our bodies into motion we become waves of infinite possibility, forming and reforming ourselves in every moment. Together we peel back layers, lay our masks down, and dance until we disappear.

The 5Rhythms were developed by Gabrielle Roth through her lifetime study in dance, theater, and the healing arts to release the dancer in us all, regardless of age, shape, size, limitations or experience. We dance in bare feet or indoor shoes only. Wear comfortable clothing & bring water. No fragrances please! Suited for people of all ages, sizes, and ability. Come move with us!

  9. “Annie”: An introductory workshop on Family Constellations

    Register Now

“Children seldom or never dare to live a happier or more fulfilling life than their parents. Unconsciously they remain loyal to unspoken family traditions that work invisibly. Family Constellations are a way of discovering underlying family bonds and forces that have been carried unconsciously over several generations.”
    Bertold Ulsamer

A family constellation is an amazing, unique method to recognize the dynamics of a family system and one‘s own involvement in it. The symbolic arrangement of the family using a group of unrelated people as representatives makes it possible to reveal cross-generational entanglements and their impact on the individual, whether focusing on the family of origin (the parents, siblings and ancestors) or the present system (partnership, marriage and children).

The essence of the family constellation is the liberation of the clients from unconscious loyalties to family members, leading them to find their own place and their personal identity and power.

If you are in a challenging relationship situation, discover the profound effect of systemic constellation work as an innovative, solution-oriented method of self-development, and gain more clarity and confidence in your personal and professional life!

In this introductory event we will examine the family as a system in which all members are irrevocably connected, a system governed by an internal order. You will come to understand that the imbalances in the life of a family are mainly attributed to breaches of this order.

Following a brief introduction on the history of family constellations and how they are structured, I will lead a constellation based on the story of Little Orphan Annie. You will have the option to engage as a representative or simply follow the process as an observer. In either case, you will acquire a deeper awareness of yourself and connection to others.

EVENT is FREE and open to all

This dance with the breath is an invitation to discover a place of connection, serenity, and joy that is uniquely our own. Savor the breath and enjoy the dance of stillness….this journey to the heart. It’’s a voice that speaks differently from the one in your head. The heart leads us into and through the lessons we’’re here to learn.

Nothing is expected, as we open to the intention of letting go. Props are used to fully support the body in restful postures. Renew your body, mind and soul by giving yourself permission to do less instead of more.
