Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms™
- With: Nancy Genatt
- Dates: Friday, February 24, 2012
- Times: 07:30PM to 09:30PM
The 5Rhythms™ is a moving meditation practice. There are no steps to learn and there is no way to do it wrong. The main premise is that when the body is moving, the mind can be stilled and meditation arises naturally and deeply. The five rhythms are states of being and patterns of energy that underly all aspects of life: flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical & stillness.
In these monthly classes, we will explore the basic elements of the 5 Rhythms through guided exercises and self-exploratory movement: flowing as it connects us to our bodies; staccato bringing us into clarity and focus; chaos to release us from the thoughts that limit us; expansion into the lightness of lyrical and finally resting in the stillness that holds peace and completion.
Nancy Genatt has studied with Gabrielle Roth and her core faculty for almost 10 years and is a recently certified 5Rhythms teacher. For more information about the practice, Gabrielle has written several books; she also has an amazing website and selection of music to support this journey to embodiment: www.gabrielleroth.com
