Explore the art of Power Yoga in creative and inspiring ways integrating movement, yoga philosophy, humor and joy while cultivating the depths of our personal edges. Includes asana, pranayama and meditation. Multi-level class suitable for all levels. A Counseling-Based Martial Arts Program for Children with Emotional Special Needs

InSPIRE is a counseling-based martial arts program designed for children with special needs such as attention deficit disorder, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, poor self-esteem, oppositional defiant disorder and lack of focus. The program includes two fundamental components: a non-contact, non-competitive martial arts program and peer support counseling. Depending on your child's needs, there are other options which include individual and/or family counseling. As in any other martial arts program, children can work to earn colored belts up to black belt.. InSPIRE is recommended for students in grades 6-9 and meets weekly for 13 weeks. Using the book, Succulent Wild Woman by Sark, the group will inspire participants to celebrate life and take a journey with other women in a safe environment while learning to take chances and express their creativity through journaling, storytelling, painting and self-expression.

And suggested donation: $5 per meeting. (Commitment to the entire series is required.)
